As September comes to a close, I find myself looking back on what has been an absolutely brilliant month of gigs consisting of 3 wedding receptions and a 40th birthday party. I have been to a lovely pub in Itchenor, which I highly recommend paying a visit to if you’re ever at a loose end on a Sunday – it’s the Ship Inn and it’s a lovely English pub about 100 yards from the sea in a quaint English village. I have been to the Royal Naval club in Southsea which is rich in history and has lovely views over Southsea. I then went over to Lee On Solent to a lovely members club and finished the month at Reading University and a private function room there.
I have met some wonderful people at all 4 events and I consider myself so very fortunate to be part of someone’s special event whether that’s a wedding, birthday, anniversary, engagement…whatever the occasion, it’s a honour and privilege to be part of it and I always have a daft grin on my face at some point – it’s nights like those that make it all worthwhile and trust me, there’s a great deal of work I put into the show to make sure it’s the absolute best it can be for the event I’m booked for. Yes it’s tiring come packing down time and going home but I wouldn’t change one bit of it and have also rewarded myself with a new set of star cloths that are synchronized so will form various patterns and shapes and all sorts and really looking forwards to seeing it in action soon.
As for October it’s 2 birthday’s, a school disco, a charity event and an engagement party – quite frankly I cannot wait! A wide variety of gigs and looking forwards to them all!
