Maybe it’s me but engagement parties seem to be occurring more frequently these days and they are usually pretty good events.
I was fortunate enough to DJ at an engagement party on Saturday 11th April at a beautiful pub just to the east of Chichester called The Wilkes Head and, if you’re ever over that way, I recommend going, it’s a gorgeous country pub with lovely food and staff.
As for the engagement party, the husband and wife to be were absolutely lovely and make a really good couple with a great chemistry between each other – just a couple who ‘fit’ together. The guests were a great bunch too and the disco was a success…people were even being shown my disco while I was just playing background music and it’s always nice to hear people say ‘wow, I wasn’t expecting that’
Music wise, I played some tunes from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and current chart hits, dance floor was packed for the most part and there was genuine disappointment when I had to stop at 11pm.
It was another fab night for Infiniti disco, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and best part was an email after the event from the lady who booked me saying “Hi Martyn thank you so much for Saturday night. We all had a great time and lots of fun. You did a fab job and we were really pleased. We will def be in touch for dj at the wedding.”
If I am lucky enough to be booked for their wedding next year, it will be an honour!
