I DJ’d at a wedding and had an absolutely fantastic evening.
Weddings always have an aura about them and this one was no different – just an overwhelming sense of happiness in the air, as clichéd as that sounds. I find it humbling to be able to be part of the event and also to be able to help even if it’s just simple things such as announcing that the buffet is ready! However I also get to introduce the newly weds onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife which is always something special. Their song choice was All Of Me by John Legend which is a perfect tune in my opinion.
The evening flew by, dance floor was occupied for most of the evening, despite it being a touch on the warm side, and the requests were flying in which I am always more than happy to accommodate as it sparks interaction between myself and the guests and always like to play songs that people want to hear as well as work from the playlist supplied by the married couple.
I guess it’s a good night when I get a round of applause at the end and also hear ‘just one more song’…which turned into 3 more songs but that’s fine by me!
A lovely couple, lovely guests, lovely evening, just lovely all round 🙂
